Start/Finish: Begin at the Arkansas River Ranch Trail – South Trailhead; ~10 car dirt parking lot feature a vault toilet and trail map; easy 2wd access
Route: Heading north on the singletrack out of the parking lot features mostly flat to rolling single and doubletrack next to the water. This trail on the eastern bank of the Arkansas River features some shelter from the elements via embankments and shrubbery. The halfway point touches the main Hayden Meadows parking lot. Looping back on the doubletrack path on the western banks of the river exposes you to more wind, but this whole section back to Kobe is slightly downhill. The last ~half mile is on the smooth CR-55 and is slightly uphill.
Tips: You can park in numerous places along the loop. If you decide just to do an out-and-back, starting from here gives you the option to do the most peaceful section of trail and gives you a slightly downhill finish.
