Alternative start/end point could be near Gaudineer knob to decrease time between trip start and the river miles depending on water levels/forecast for rain.Take out above the 15-20 ft High Falls. In theory you could make a huge loop with more of the Upper Shavers and the Greenbrier all the way down to Cass/near Snowshoe, but you'd need some perfect scenario to have enough water to do that full trip. As is, this is ~20 miles of hiking and ~20 miles of paddling, still need some luck to get enough water for this section but seems more doable.
