Started from Brooks Lake trailhead on a planned 6 day hike. Accessed the CD at Bonneville Pass and continued on to Marston Pass day 1-2. At Marston Pass, we did a side trip up to Yount's Peak. It was the most beautiful area I've ever seen. There was a great campsite at headwater of the N fork of Yellowstone. South Fork looked like a better future hike. After Yount's, we hiked from Marston Pass to Ferry Lake. The weather day 4-5 was suppose to be bad so we decided to hike out. The fastest way out was along Soda Springs so we hiked ~20 miles back to the trailhead. The trail was in awful shape from horses. The original plan was to spend day 4-6 going over the continental divide and Yellowstone Point before hiking back.
