Acoustic tracking sites. Sites are spaced roughly 1000m apart and range from Selby's Landing down to the Benedict Bridge. Most occur within the main river channel and when deep holes and bends of the river occur, sites were shifted to "cover" those areas. Under the assumption of 500m maximum detection range for acoustic tags, we should have minimal "dead" zones (areas where fish would not be detected). The idea for tracking would be to travel from site to site and listen for up to 5 min with the motor and electronics off. It's about a 20 mile stretch of river to sample. Sites could be added/modified as necessary.
